“ If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished? ” Rumi
We all have a boiling point but some of us reach that temperature quicker than others. Why is that? What is it about certain people that sets us off? Some people conclude that more people are LIKE us the more quickly we are irritated with them. I don't know if that's true but I do know its something we all need to consider so we can keep it in check. When you are the irritant and you "set" someone off? Most likely you struck a nerve with them and spurred that emotion out of them. If you are the one who gets 'set off' think about what it is that set you off- and deal with it. Unchecked anger and emotions continue to lay dormant and can manifest themselves in a myriad of unhealthy ways down the line. Remember too, sand is an irritant to an oyster but out of it comes a wonderful pearl. Can you turn your irritants into pears?
Have a great day and a better tomorrow!
