"The past is a wonderful place to visit, but a terrible place to live" -Steve Keating

"The past is a wonderful place to visit, but a terrible place to live"
-Steve Keating

How is this motivational? Well to motivate someone sometimes we need to
remind them or show them where they are going astray in life and hope they
see the need to change, to be better. Well come of us spend way too much
time in the past. I think one reason we do this is because we cant or
haven't resolved events that happened to us in the past. So we revisit them
and ponder what went wrong even though we really cant change the outcome. We
all do this but the risk some run is staying there for long or visiting too
often. This can be very unhealthy to your current version of you!

How can we deal with this? Probably by how we deal with minor events that we
don't like- we deal with them by accepting them, learning what we can and
moving on. Have you ever spilled food or drink on clothing? When that
happens we clean it us as best we can, we become more careful going forward
and we learn what food stains the best (or worst). We also can probably
remember how good that food or drink was and that's a great memory!

Can you do with whatever you are dealing with in your past? Accept, move on
and prevent it from happening again? Can we do this too while remember the
good times? Food for thought.

I hope you all have a great day and see where you can move on and upward!
