Today is Día del Amigo (Spanish, Friend's Day) is a celebration of friendship, held annually on July 20 in South American countries including Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
So why not a quote & thought on friendship!
Do you have a friend, that you know and love despite all their faults? Well that qualifies you to be celebrated today on friends day! We live in a quick to judgement world, having true friends who care about us despite our imperfections REQUIRES that we must do the same for them. It would be very selfish to accept ones friendship and not return it in kind. There are exceptions of course and when the relationship is a hurtful one you are under no obligation to continue the friendship.
However the thought today should be centered on how we can continue to be a good friend. The answer is simple: Love those that love you despite their limitations and imperfections because they are doing the same for you.
